在北京2008年奥运会倒计时两周年之际，北京奥组委发布了北京2008年奥运会体育图标。名为“篆书之美”的北京2008年奥运会体育图标以篆字笔画为基本形式，融合了中国古代甲骨文、金文等文字的象形意趣和现代图形的简化特征，符合体育图标易识别、易记忆、易使用的要求。

      历史上的坝上草原，是游牧民族活动的“T型台”。这里秦代属上谷郡，西汉属上谷北境，东汉、魏晋时是鲜卑人之地，北魏时是御夷重镇，也是辽、金、元、清历代帝王的避暑胜地。辽代萧太后梳妆楼，历尽千年沧桑，至今仍屹立在闪电河畔，金代景明宫、元代察汗淖儿行宫、清代胭脂马场、狩猎场、张库古商道、明代长城和古烽火台及元代宏城遗址、九连城遗址等一大批源远流长的历史文化古迹，至今尚存。辽代在燕子城，到这时开始有了旅游。城中的“清凉殿”专供皇室游猎用。在历史上，几千年来共有两次堪称“出线”，一是中都建制，二是清中期经济高潮。先者因为政治因素，坝上草原成为全国注目的旅游地，后者因为张库大道的开通，中原与外蒙贸易，坝上开始“开化富裕”。清王朝时期是坝上草原的辉煌鼎盛时期。自公元1681年到公元1863年，康熙、乾隆、嘉庆三位皇帝在围场举行“木兰秋狝”的次数就达到了105次之多。通过“木兰秋狝”，起到了“肄武绥藩”、巩固边防的作用，木兰围场也便以其独特的地位而载入史册。

以上是近日发布的《零点宜居指数——中国公众城市宜居指数2006年度报告》的调查结果之一，在本次调查的20个城市中，排在前五名的城市有宁波、厦门、成都、苏州和三亚，入围的大部分是沿海中小城市；而北京、上海、广州等大城市排名相对都比较靠后。

研究人员认为，沿海中小城市经济发展迅速，对人才的吸引力比较强，生活比较悠闲，因此居民的宜居感受比较强；大城市虽然发展机会比较多，但是个人居住条件、社区条件、生态环境、公共交通等宜居必备因素相对都比较差，因此综合来看，大城市居民对宜居的评价偏低。

报告是由零点研究咨询集团与第一财经合作编制发布的。零点研究咨询集团的本次调查采用多阶段随机抽样方式，于2006年4月针对北京、上海、广州、武汉、成都、深圳、大连、济南等20个城市的2553名18岁至60岁常住居民进行入户访问。
